Job Title: Kitchen Team Lead

 

  • Job Summary:

The Kitchen Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.

This role requires strong leadership and mentoring skills to drive the team forward and meet objectives. The successful candidate will be able to prepare kitchen and ingredients for food preparation, work alongside supported employees, and assist with tasks such as peeling and chopping fruits.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a hospitality setting and possess great communication and interpersonal skills, with patience under pressure.

Responsibilities include preparing kitchen and ingredients for food preparation, working alongside supported employees, assisting with measuring ingredients and supervising kitchen equipment, sterilizing jars and supervising cooking activities, cleaning up kitchen, planning and preparing for the next day, placing orders, entering invoices, and getting product ready for dispatch, supporting employees with skill development and entering notes on the Carelink system, and ensuring food safety requirements are met and required documentation is completed.

Key Requirements:

  • Qualifications or experience in a hospitality setting.
  • Ideal candidate has experience working with people of all abilities.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills, with patience under pressure.
  • High level organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to work as part of and lead a multidisciplinary team.
