About the Role:

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, handling a high volume of patient presentations. You will be responsible for providing expert medical care, leading clinical teams, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of emergency patients
  • Lead clinical teams and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and departmental performance
  • Contribute to the development of clinical services and policies in the Emergency Department
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication
  • Participate in education and training programs to maintain and enhance clinical skills

Requirements:

  • General, Provisional, or Limited registration with AHPRA or eligible to obtain
  • IMGs that have completed at least the AMC MCQ (part 1) or completed both AMC 1 & 2 (clinical exam)
  • IMGs eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (training in the UK, USA, NZ, Canada, or Ireland)
  • IMGs assessed by ACEM College as partially or substantially comparable
  • IMGs interested in foreign training via the Short Term Training Specialist Pathway (STT)
  • Experience working as an Emergency Medicine Registrar
