Senior Investment Research Analyst Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Investment Research Analyst to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and analytical individual who is passionate about the investment industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis of Australian and New Zealand equity strategies, including performance analysis, peer group comparisons, and interviews with key decision-makers. They will also prepare clear and concise investment due diligence reports supporting research ratings and present findings to internal committees and clients.

This role involves collaborating with global research teams on projects, process improvements, and producing investment analysis and white papers. The Senior Investment Research Analyst will articulate Mercer's research process and investment views to clients and external stakeholders, representing Mercer within the investment management community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting in-depth research and analysis of Australian and New Zealand equity strategies.
  • Preparing clear and concise investment due diligence reports supporting research ratings and presenting findings to internal committees and clients.
  • Collaborating with global research teams on projects, process improvements, and producing investment analysis and white papers.
  • Articulating Mercer's research process and investment views to clients and external stakeholders, representing Mercer within the investment management community.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in the investment management industry is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make decisions based on qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Excellent report writing skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Confident in engaging with investment managers and challenging their strategies.
  • Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of presenting and defending views both verbally and in writing.
  • Stable employment record demonstrating growth in responsibility .
  • Solid academic background and computer literacy.
  • Willingness to undertake administrative tasks as needed.
