The Legal Department at Spotify is seeking a seasoned professional to join their team as a Senior Counsel.

Job Description

We are looking for an exceptional lawyer with a strong track record in content-related legal issues and intermediary liability frameworks. The ideal candidate will have the ability to advise on global compliance, manage legal takedown processes, and provide strategic guidance on platform liability.

  • Advise on Spotify's global compliance with online safety frameworks and safe harbor laws.
  • Support managing Spotify's legal takedown process, including providing legal guidance on user notices and government-issued requests.
  • Provide legal advice across Spotify on platform liability, including issue-spotting and strategizing solutions for new products.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience working in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
  • Deep understanding of intermediary liability frameworks, with a preference for experience litigating cases involving intermediary liability.
  • Proven expertise in content-related legal issues.
  • Experience assessing and advising on a broad set of legal standards, even when those standards are new.
  • Experience partnering with global stakeholders.
