Emergency and Critical Care Veterinarian Role

Southpaws Malvern is seeking a skilled Emergency and Critical Care (ECC) Veterinarian to join our dynamic team at our 24-hour dedicated emergency pet hospital in Malvern East.

The role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the critical moments of a pet's life. Our emergency hospital is staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

We invite passionate veterinarians to apply for this fulfilling role, regardless of their level of experience. Whether you're a seasoned professional or a recent graduate eager to dive into ECC, we offer a structured role that supports personal and professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide high-quality emergency and critical care to pets
  • To work collaboratively with our specialist teams and ensure seamless patient care
  • To contribute to the growth and development of our dynamic team
  • To participate in rostered training time with senior veterinarians
  • To engage in bi-weekly didactic sessions, including journal club, presentations, and lectures

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 3 years' work experience as a veterinarian
  • Eligibility for registration to practice in VIC, Australia
