Home Care Worker Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Worker to join our team in Blacktown. As a Home Care Worker, you will provide high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Domestic Assistance: Cleaning the home of older people to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Assisting with meal preparation and shopping to promote healthy eating habits.
  • Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay engaged and connected.
  • Personal care, including getting them up, showered, and dressed for the day, managing medication, and assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
  • Offering respite and emotional support to our customers and their families.
  • Transporting customers to appointments and providing complex care for those with high care needs, such as dementia.

Requirements:

  • Some experience as a care or support worker, including experience with personal care (no certifications required).
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • Ability to work independently, finding solutions to everyday problems and knowing when to ask for help.
  • Availability to work at least 3 days, Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.

What to Expect:

Before joining our team, we will perform a National Police Check/Right to Work, functional fitness assessment on your behalf, as well as confirming evidence of COVID vaccination.
