We are seeking experienced Senior Project Managers to lead complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery, within scope, and on budget. As a Senior Project Manager, you will work with cross-functional teams, leveraging your expertise in stakeholder management and leadership to drive successful project execution.

The ideal candidate will have a broad range of project experience, including procurement of services from external vendors, business change, technical implementations, compliance initiatives, and transformative projects across an organization.

The key projects for these Senior Project Managers will be:

  • On-Call Project: Replacing the current dispatch system for Roadside Assistance at RACWA, working with other roadside clubs in Australia, requiring skilled stakeholder engagement and governance.
  • Cyber Security Project: Delivering a range of initiatives for the Cyber team at RAC, with a focus on governance and stakeholder management to ensure successful project delivery.

Both roles are 12-month maximum term, full-time positions with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading and managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring project goals, scope, budget, and timeline are met.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to define project objectives, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive project plans, budgets, and schedules, and other key documentation as required.
  • Monitoring and reporting project progress, risks, and issues to the executive team and project stakeholders.
  • Conducting Steering Group meetings to ensure informed decisions are made regarding project progress, options, and direction.
  • Implementing and enforcing best practice in project management, including project governance.
  • Fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture by providing guidance, support, and mentorship to project team members.
  • Driving continuous improvement in project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Ensuring quality and customer satisfaction by delivering projects that meet or exceed expectations.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
  • Senior stakeholder management skills, being able to bring parties together to collaborate, get consensus on key decisions, and ensure stakeholders are engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and project management tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and motivate cross-functional project teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience with resource allocation, risk, and issue management.
  • Demonstrated resilience in dealing with complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven experience in communicating with and influencing stakeholders to Executive level.
  • Demonstrated experience in quickly assessing project risks and issues and managing the mitigation and resolution of these in a pragmatic way.
