ILS Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled ILS Professional to join our team. As an integral member of the organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing ILS documentation, providing subject matter expertise, and contributing to the development of ILS strategies.

About the Role
  • Manage and deliver ILS documentation, including ILSC, ILSP, ILSI, and support contract SOW and DIDs and DSDs and FMS documentation.
  • Provide SME advice on contract deliverables, including TETP, RPIL, RPL, and MRSL.
  • Assist in planning the ILS Program, including the development of ILS strategies, concepts, and workforce plans.
  • Contribute as an ILS specialist, analyzing, defining, and planning project execution.
  • Support inventory management utilizing MILIS skills.
  • Provide SME materiel sustainment advice to higher management and technical reviews.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure ILS activities are managed effectively.
Required Qualifications, Experience, and Knowledge
  • A suitably qualified ILS Professional with a minimum of 7+ years experience within Defence or a related industry.
  • Strong working knowledge of Defence Logistics systems, tools, and processes.
  • Demonstrated experience in the current Capability Life Cycle is advantageous.
  • Leadership and management of the ILS team, including:
    • Task allocation and prioritization.
    • Team training and development.
    • Review of work packages and documentation in preparation for internal and external stakeholder approval.
    • Tactical and strategic ILS planning in support of the Project Forward Work Plan.
    • Collaboration and influencing work teams to deliver according to the agreed Project Schedule.
    • ILS input and advice to support decision-making groups (IPT, PSG's), risk mitigation, and requirements setting working groups.
    • Attending meetings as required and providing input relating to ILS.
    • Risk Management for ILS within the Project Risk structure.
    • Developing and reviewing Integrated Logistics Support Instructions.
    • Participating in Capability Proposal (CP) meetings and working groups.
    • Participating in CoA verification trials.
    • Specialist support for procurement planning.
    • Providing input into cost estimates/sustainment costs as required by the CoA.
    • Providing input to Transition of Support Responsibilities of Capability Proposals.
    • Performing MILIS and CMT-L tasks as required.
    • Representing ILS to the Project Senior Leadership Team, including opportunities and risks.
    • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure introduction into service activities are appropriately managed.
