Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Sydney, supporting major infrastructure projects in Sydney and Regional NSW.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement environmental management plans, controls, and strategies to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide operational guidance on environmental and sustainability matters, driving a culture of best practice across projects.
  • Develop, support, and review environmental management plans, risk assessments, and sustainability management plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits, and investigate incidents.
  • Identify and manage sustainability and environmental risk management controls, ensuring compliance with all obligations.
  • Provide technical input to support the tender process.
  • Continually educate and build project teams' knowledge of environmental requirements.
  • Liaise with clients and government bodies on environmental and sustainability matters.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on key sustainability and environmental performance objectives and standards.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications in Environmental Science or a related discipline, with a strong knowledge of environmental legislation and regulatory frameworks.
  • Experience in a similar role within construction, with experience working on infrastructure projects.
  • Practical experience working with ISO standards.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels.
  • The ability to negotiate, influence, and engage effectively with stakeholders to drive project success and ensure compliance with environmental standards and expectations.
