Academic Position in Critical Minerals Geoscience

The University of Adelaide is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Critical Minerals Geoscience Expert. As a key member of our Earth Sciences group, you will be responsible for conducting research and teaching in the field of critical minerals geoscience.
About the RoleWe are looking for a candidate with a strong research track record in one or more of the following areas: economic geology, mineralogy, geochemistry, igneous and metamorphic petrology, structural geology, geodynamics, and earth surface processes. You will be expected to develop a vigorous externally-funded research program, including supervising honours and postgraduate research students.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in critical minerals geoscience and publish in highly regarded scientific journals.
- Teach undergraduate, honours, and postgraduate students in the classroom, laboratory, field environments, and virtually.
- Develop and deliver new courses and programs in critical minerals geoscience.
- Collaborate with industry and government institutions on research projects.
- Supervise honours and postgraduate research students.
- PhD or equivalent degree in Earth Sciences.
- Demonstrated experience in teaching undergraduate-level Earth Science or related discipline.
- Demonstrated research excellence and interest in geoscience applied to critical mineral ore systems.
- A track record of successful engagement and research collaboration with industry and/or government institutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organisational skills, and ability to forge collaborative relationships and engage others.
