We are seeking a dedicated and passionate healthcare professional to join our team as a Culturally Safe Healthcare Specialist. The role will provide an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal patients by providing culturally safe, holistic, and patient-centred care.
Job Description:The successful applicant will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver culturally safe and holistic care to Aboriginal patients. This will involve developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet the needs of Aboriginal patients, enhancing cultural safety, reducing the risk of disengagement, and improving continuity of care through appropriate referrals, discharge planning, and ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical interventions, assessments, and care planning within your scope of practice.
- Help improve access to quality healthcare services for Aboriginal patients.
- Support efforts to close the gap in Indigenous health outcomes by reducing hospital avoidance and promoting health equity.
- Essential qualifications include a degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field, such as Aboriginal Health, Nursing, or Allied Health.
- Relevant work experience in a healthcare setting, preferably working with Aboriginal patients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
