Professional Trainee Opportunity

Pitcher Partners Newcastle seeks a driven and enthusiastic Professional Trainee to join their team.

In this role, you will gain valuable experience working with clients in a professional environment, applying your skills and knowledge. You will be supported by a mentor who will guide you on tasks set to you, helping develop your skills. Extensive training, coaching, and personal development courses are provided to assist in establishing your career.

You will become part of a fast-growing business unit with a broad spread of clients, offering variety for the successful applicant. Our clientele has diverse accounting and taxation needs, along with unique advisory services and niche market reputation. Our structure provides easy access to all our Partners while working predominantly for the team Manager.

We offer study support towards CA if not already attained for newly graduated individuals. We look for motivated, self-starting applicants who embrace change and innovation. They must be passionate about developing a career in professional services.

Apart from being near completion of an accounting degree or having graduated within the last two years, we require Australian Citizens or PR holders to be eligible to apply.

Key Requirements:
  • A confident demeanor and ability to build relationships with clients and earn their respect.
  • Reporting skills – comfortable attending corporate, trust, super, and individual accounting and taxation compliance needs.
  • Taxation & accounting technical skills – able to demonstrate a working application of technical issues in the work environment.
  • Problem-solving skills – able to demonstrate thinking outside the square.
