Take your automotive career to the next level with a challenging role as our Parts Manager. This is a long-term position working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week in modern facilities.

Gemini Wacol is a large repair shop in the western corridors of Brisbane with ample opportunity for career progression and employment. The team of 26 works well together in a modern, well-equipped shop – including high-end welders and side-loading spray booths.

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Manager to join our team at Gemini Wacol.

This role reports to the Centre Manager and involves ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of quality parts, achieving efficient cycle times and site profitability.

This is a permanent position, Monday to Friday.

Key responsibilities:

  • Receive list of parts needed - check correct and not damaged
  • Unpack and check parts arriving on site
  • Deliver parts to the vehicle being repaired
  • Organise awaiting parts and credits
  • Keep computer system up to date
  • Order parts via parts management/ordering system
  • Enter parts invoices accurately into quoting/management system
  • Be aware of parts ETA and possible delays
  • Procure parts to ensure profitability

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills including building rapport with customers and work providers
  • Strong interest in motor vehicles and the automotive sector
  • Highly professional and personable
  • Competent computer abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to problem solve and excellent accuracy and attention to detail
  • Able to work effectively and collaboratively with the team
