The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking a highly skilled Technical Implementation Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our digital transformation initiative, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing a new audience-focused communication experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Implementation Strategy: Collaborate with internal Marketing and Product teams to define the implementation approach, architecture, design, and integration to ensure seamless delivery and testing.
  • Steer Business Readiness Program: Work with business teams to define and develop the future state operating model, ensuring effective change management, training, and smooth early adoption for end-users.
  • Develop Strategic Relationships: Partner with external parties to ensure solutions proposed meet our business goals and align to the technical strategy.
  • Support Go-to-Market Strategy: Collaborate with Commercial and Procurement teams to support a successful go-to-market strategy, including evaluation and implementation best practice.
  • Represent Business Needs: Ensure the ABC's unique business needs and requirements are considered in solution design and setup, and with 3rd party vendor and implementation partners.
  • Manage Implementation Risks: Identify and mitigate implementation and platform risks and challenges, developing strategies to address them proactively with relevant stakeholders.
About You
  • Implementation Experience: Extensive experience as an implementation specialist with MarTech/Marketing Automation Platform solutions, responsible for partnering with, overseeing, and guiding external Implementation Partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with risks effectively managed.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical knowledge of marketing-related SaaS solutions, ideally in marketing automation, CRM, or decisioning platforms.
  • Business Requirements: Proven experience in defining implementation business requirements for Marketing Automation Platforms or other MarTech enterprise implementations, working closely with technical and business teams to drive solutions, especially in data architecture, technology capabilities, and testing.
  • Implementation Partner Landscape: Extensive knowledge of the Implementation Partner landscape in Australia, including operational and commercial models, with significant experience working with a variety of Tier 1 and Tier 2 Implementation Partners.
  • Marketing and CRM: Deep understanding of direct marketing and CRM, including email and push notification channels, with a proven track record of technical leadership and a solid grasp of customer experience and marketing communications.
  • Product and Project Management: Strong knowledge of product and project management practices, tools, and software (e.g., Atlassian Suite), with experience in large-scale, cross-functional, and multi-phase projects.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communicator, able to bridge the gap between business and technology, and foster strong relationships with various stakeholders.
