The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies to ensure effective, efficient, and profitable business execution for Sandvik Mining regional operations.

This role requires relocation to Mount Isa, with a preference for local residents; however, relocation could be negotiated for suitable candidates from Brisbane or Townsville regions.

Responsibilities

  1. Oversee Workshop and Contract Site performance in alignment with Sales Area and Regional budgetary targets.
  2. Lead the transformation of all workshops and contracts sites into a unified 'One Sandvik' Service Centre, encompassing workshop repairs, component repairs, and field service on-site contracts.
  3. Develop and implement strategic service execution plans, emphasizing efficient resource utilization and cost management.
  4. Pursue the deployment of global workshop and lean principal standards, encompassing methods, standards, and processes.
  5. Seek opportunities for synergy to optimize workforce planning.
  6. Establish a regular reporting framework to inform decision-making for the Customer Services Management Team.
  7. Leverage financial expertise to manage workshops and contract sites effectively, ensuring sound WIP, job profitability, and cost management.
  8. Collaborate with sales managers and relevant stakeholders to devise Strategic Business Growth Plans for specific Regions and total Sales Areas, focusing on workshop and Contract Site budgets.
  9. Inspire and lead team members to meet business objectives through recruitment, mentorship, motivation, training, evaluation, and development.
  10. Nurture strong relationships with key clients, working to resolve technical issues and deliver enhanced customer value and convenience.
  11. Ensure effective communication between workshop staff and other business areas.
