We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Production Manager. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of meat production operations, including butchery, processing, and packaging.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise a team of butchers and production staff to ensure high-quality and consistent products.
  • Develop and implement production schedules to meet production goals, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Manage inventory levels and maintain sufficient stock for customer demand, taking into account seasonal fluctuations and market trends.
  • Maintain equipment and collaborate with other departments for new product development, ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure effective communication with suppliers and customers, building strong relationships and resolving any issues promptly.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in meat production or butchery, with at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Portion cutting skill and extensive knowledge of butchery and meat processing techniques.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.

  • Trade qualification and residence in Australia.
