Renewable Energy Project Development Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a renewable energy enthusiast with 2+ years of experience who is keen to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the origination and development of renewable energy projects from site identification through to feasibility/planning studies.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to develop layouts and provide relevant technical information throughout the development process.
  • Negotiate land access agreements, manage legal dealings, and engage in correspondence as required.
  • Manage external consultants to undertake studies throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage with local planning authorities, other regulators, the general public, landowners, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project progression.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the renewable energy industry and its challenges. They will be able to work independently, prioritise tasks effectively, and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in project development, renewable energy, or a related field such as commercial, stakeholder, environmental, and planning or project engineering.
  • Tertiary qualification in a field related to renewable energy, planning, environment, geography, business, law, engineering, or science.
  • Current driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Excellent communication and written skills, analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with GIS and/or graphical software is beneficial.
