Occupational Therapist Opportunity at MSWA

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team in Wilson on a full-time basis. As an Occupational Therapist with MSWA, you will be at the heart of delivering comprehensive OT services for individuals living with neurological conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Motor Neurone Disease (MND), Parkinson's, Huntington's, Stroke, and Acquired Brain Injuries.

About the Role
  • You will collaborate closely with clients to develop personalised interventions, empower them to achieve their goals, and enhance their independence in daily life.
  • You will help people manage fatigue, sleep disturbances, cognitive changes, and introduce advanced assistive technology solutions to improve their quality of life.

Making a Tangible Impact: You will be supporting individuals facing complex challenges and helping them navigate daily life with confidence and independence.

Expert Team: You will work alongside a highly skilled and passionate team of healthcare professionals, all committed to delivering the highest level of care.

Variety & Challenge: Every day will bring new challenges, from assessments in diverse environments to creating tailored interventions that truly make a difference.

Professional Growth: We are committed to your ongoing development, offering mentoring opportunities and a supportive environment to help you grow in your OT career.

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a fulfilling full-time role with a healthy work-life balance in a supportive and dynamic workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed OT assessments in a variety of settings, including homes and workplaces, addressing daily living, physical, sensory, and cognitive needs.
  • Work closely with clients, families, and external stakeholders to design and implement effective interventions and facilitate equipment provision.
  • Demonstrate expertise in managing and navigating funding models to ensure clients receive the equipment they need.
  • Offer support with sensitivity and competence to clients requiring palliative care, ensuring dignity and comfort in their final stages.
  • Maintain precise, up-to-date client records to ensure high-quality, continuous care.
  • Mentor OT students, OTAs, and volunteers, contributing to the development of future OT professionals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy (or equivalent qualification).
  • Current registration with AHPRA.
  • Valid Australian 'C' Class Driver's License (with no restrictions).
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • First Aid & CPR Certification (we can help here if not).

The Benefits:

We offer generous salary packaging options to all our employees. Currently up to $18,500 can be packaged to cover things like living expenses, mortgage payments, or car leasing – this means you pay less tax on your income. We also provide generous leave policies, discounts on major retailers, and the opportunity to do challenging and rewarding work every day. By joining us, you will contribute to empowering Western Australians living with neurological conditions to live their best life. Our estimated annual salary for this role is around $85,000-$110,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
