Senior Associate Role

We are seeking an experienced lawyer to join our busy Insurance practice in Sydney, Australia. As a Senior Associate, you will work closely with Partner Alexandra Bartlett on complex general insurance & litigation matters involving coverage, financial lines, D&O and PI defence.

  • Handling and managing high-value coverage disputes for professional institutions, financial institutions, corporate service providers, directors, and officers (D&O)
  • Providing clear written advice to clients
  • Defending professional liability claims, monitoring claims in other jurisdictions, and subrogated recoveries

This role is ideal for candidates with 5+ years of defendant insurance experience from a reputable insurance team/firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex cases autonomously with limited supervision
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Mentor more junior lawyers in the team
  • Apply methodical and organised approach to file management
  • Meet multiple priorities and deadlines with excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
  • Display the highest standard of professional ethics
