Team Overview

We are excited to announce the launch of two state-of-the-art Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs) in Melbourne and Sydney. These innovative facilities will transform the online grocery shopping experience, enhancing product availability and freshness, expanding our produce selection, and ensuring a seamless digital interface for our customers. Additionally, these CFCs will create a safer working environment for our team members, marking a significant advancement in the industry.

As we expand our operations in New South Wales, we are seeking experienced Team Managers to join our dynamic team.

Role Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading and managing the success of your Spoke site through its launch and ongoing operations. This includes overseeing a team of customer delivery drivers during the last mile operations and supporting your team in achieving key performance indicators related to safety, customer satisfaction, cost efficiency, fulfilment, and delivery.

Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the yard operates safely and efficiently, setting the stage for success.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading a high-performing team
  • Fostering a culture of excellence and a positive work environment
  • Promoting a customer-centric culture across inbound, dispatch, dekit, and operational areas
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with change strategies
  • Executing the implementation plan for strategic initiatives
  • Operationalizing processes, controls, and best practices
  • Addressing operational challenges and last mile issues
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives
  • Acting as a role model, ensuring adherence to health, safety, and wellness policies
  • Building positive relationships with site and local union representatives
  • Partnering with the Labour Planning team to ensure compliance with relevant agreements
  • Working a flexible schedule that includes early mornings and late evenings
Candidate Profile

We are looking for a dedicated Team Manager who is ready to lead the way forward.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 3-5 years of management experience in last mile and transport/logistics operations, with a focus on safety and performance
  • Experience navigating complex industrial relations frameworks
  • A passion for engaging and developing team members
  • A track record of fostering a customer-focused culture and driving organizational change
  • Knowledge of vehicle compliance and safety regulations, including fatigue management
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • The ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior leaders
  • Experience working within complex industrial relations frameworks
