English and Religious Education Teacher Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant teaching community where you will play a vital role in developing and implementing quality curriculum programs for English and Religious Education.

You will be responsible for creating a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment aligned with curriculum policies. This will involve developing and implementing quality curriculum programs using effective teaching methods; assessing and reporting student progress. Additionally, you will use inclusive teaching strategies and adapt practices for equitable education.

To achieve this, you will need to analyse student assessment data to identify learning barriers and encourage improvement. You will also engage in ongoing professional development to enhance student outcomes. Furthermore, you will collaborate with school leadership, staff, and contribute to school life. Finally, you will provide student supervision and assist in organising extracurricular activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a learner-centred, supportive, and cooperative learning environment.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A commitment to Catholic education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools.
  • The ability and willingness to teach Year 7 Interconnected English/RE/History program.
  • The ability to integrate technology effectively to maximise student outcomes and engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to promote a culture of effort, engagement, and excellence through the development of a positive, supportive student environment and related structures.
  • Qualifications and/or experience in teaching Secondary English and Religious Education.
