Job Title: Quality Lead

Lycopodium Limited is currently recruiting for a Quality Lead to join our growing project team in South Asia.

As a Quality Lead, you will be responsible for establishing an agreed interpretation of Project requirements as defined in specifications, codes and standards.

You will monitor and report on the Project Team's compliance with the Project Quality Plan, nominated specifications and field quality control procedures.

The tasks you'll perform include:

  • Ensuring that the Project Management Plans, and dependent systems, procedures are meeting the required quality standards of the Company, Client, regulatory Body and Contract.
  • Liaising with the Client's quality assurance representative, where appointed.
  • Providing support and feedback to the Lead Field Engineer for the continuous improvement of the field engineering plan.
  • Ensuring effective planning and implementation of design control, verification, validation and review activities.
  • Liaising with the relevant Manager to establish the suitability of proposed Quality Management Systems for the products or services to be supplied.
  • Ensuring implementation and verification of construction inspection and testing activities for all disciplines.
  • Managing non-conformance corrective action and preventive actions and ensuring investigation, follow-up actions are effectively implemented.
  • Conducting ongoing audits and surveillance visits to ensure conformance with agreed practices and the maintenance of project records at project offices and subcontractor or supplier locations as determined by auditing plans.
  • Attending and participating in field engineering staff meetings where issues are discussed and resolved.
  • Liaising with the Client's quality assurance representative, where appointed.
  • Assisting the relevant Manager with providing input quality progress data required for the compilation and submission of the project progress report monthly or as required by the contract.
  • Encouraging and building a positive workplace culture and team environment.
  • Managing the team of onsite QC inspectors.
  • Ensuring the proper utilization of people, material, machinery and process to meet the client requirements within the timelines and budget.
  • Advising the relevant Manager immediately of any safety or environmental, community or industrial relations incidents as per approved Company policy and procedures.
  • Adhering to Company's Policies and obtaining the appropriate internal approvals prior to making any contractual commitments.
  • Developing and contributing to the delivery of improvement initiatives within construction team which support business' continuous improvement.
  • Managing multiple tasks and prioritising where necessary to achieve agreed deliverables to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
  • Registering and filing all relevant documentation in accordance to the Company approved procedures.
  • Proactively supporting other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.

The expertise you'll bring includes:

  • Technical Certificate/Tertiary Education Qualification, Degree or Diploma in Quality Assurance is desirable or equivalent industry experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years' experience in quality assurance roles within mineral processing and or related industries.
  • Knowledge of sound Quality Standards and ISO 9001 Requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge and demonstrable experience of Quality Management and the implementation and improvement of management systems at Project level.
  • Demonstrable capability in setting up and auditing of ISO9001 processes particularly in the EPCM management process environment.
  • Managerial-leadership ability.
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with all stakeholders, including clients, vendors and co-workers.
