Job Title: Data Center Operations Specialist

This role plays a vital part in the maintenance and operation of our global data center infrastructure.

As a Data Center Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for managing servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continuous access to our cloud services.

The Infrastructure Operations (Data Center) team is committed to delivering high-quality service and supporting our rapidly expanding business and customer base 24/7.

This position involves Data Center Engineering Operations, including risk management, preventive and corrective maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management, and metric reporting within an Amazon Data Center.

You will collaborate with a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other key roles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage contractors, subcontractors, and vendors on-site, ensuring compliance with practices, procedures, and legislation.
  • Develop and maintain performance benchmarks, analyze data, and prepare reports on infrastructure operations and maintenance.
  • Create Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed.
  • Contribute to documentation related to business and facility operations.
  • Support rack installation and power/cooling provisioning within operational constraints.
  • Participate in routine maintenance and emergency services for systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS, power distribution, chillers, cooling towers, and monitoring systems.
  • Assist in the design, implementation, commissioning, and expansion of new facilities.
  • Help manage facility assets and inventory management as directed.
  • Participate in construction and operational meetings as needed.
  • Ensure Work Order compliance and review contractual SLAs.
  • Coordinate with Infrastructure Operations teams for daily operational needs.
  • Assist in resolving infrastructure engineering or service issues.
