Infrastructure Development Role

Earn a salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year at Evolution Mining, a gold producer operating six mines across Australia and Canada.

About the Position

This position involves managing Capital and OPEX Projects to ensure they are completed within scope, on schedule, on budget, and comply with appropriate standards and regulations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Implementing engineering projects and supporting maintenance operations and metallurgy personnel
  • Providing technical expertise, training, and support to maintenance, mining, operations, and metallurgy personnel
  • Ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements, conducting internal and external audits, and managing change
  • Developing business cases, scopes of work, and design improvement modifications
  • Liaising with electrical and mechanical supervisors and planners to plan project implementation work for shutdowns
  • Designing reviews for projects, ensuring project adequacy and compliance to site requirements
  • Raising work orders and purchase orders for works using Pronto
  • Cost tracking projects and completing end of month processes
  • Ensuring records, registers, and drawings are kept up to date
  • Assisting with the preparation of maintenance budgets and cost control measures

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Structural)
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in a similar role in mining or heavy industry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent report writing and documentation skills
  • Ability to adjust work assignments or schedules to meet changing priorities
  • Preparation of plans for projects or major assignments, including tasks, resources, and time frames
  • Creation and maintenance of engineering documents, including drawings, equipment certifications, and procedures
  • Ability to diagnose problems and share solutions to create learning experiences
  • Strong computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, MS Project, and Pronto
  • AutoCAD experience desirable
