Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Solutions Specialist to join our International Government Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you'll provide technical expertise in satellite-connected networking solutions, designing and implementing networking infrastructure, and delivering exceptional customer support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement satellite-connected networking solutions for clients worldwide
  • Provide technical support and maintenance for Viasat's airtime systems and internal network infrastructure
  • Conduct diagnosis and implement corrective maintenance strategies for end-to-end solutions
  • Collaborate with peer team members and line management to analyze incidents and identify underlying problems
  • Develop and deliver technical training to partners and end-user customers
  • Conduct technical skills assessments and root cause analysis of satellite solution issues
  • Participate in on-call rosters and provide 24/7 support for end-client engineering
Requirements
  • Formal trade qualification in Electrotechnology/Telecommunications/IP Networking or equivalent tertiary industry qualification
  • Minimum 4 years of industry experience in IP networking, IT, or satellite communications
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and/or Linux operating systems
  • Ability to develop and apply configurations to IP networking hardware
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications and Visio
  • Australian Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications
