Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Exploration Geologist to join our team as a Project Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning and performance of exploration programs, working closely with our team of geologists and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage exploration programs, including drilling programs, to ensure timely and budget-friendly delivery.
  • Generate, rank, and test new and existing targets, utilizing geophysical, geochemical, and geological data to interpret projects and perform geological modeling.
  • Contribute to statutory and company reports, providing accurate and timely information to stakeholders.
  • Manage consultants, staff, and drilling contractors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Develop regional geologic maps and resource models for exploration projects, utilizing 3D modeling software and GIS packages.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience in the gold mining and exploration industry, including time as a Resource Geologist.
  • Excellent communication skills and previous experience in mentoring junior professionals.
  • Working knowledge of image preparation for ASX announcements, cross-sections, geochemical data sets, geological maps, and ability to think in 3D.
  • Previous experience working with the Department of Mines and Industry Relations and knowledge of the Department of Environment's reporting requirements.
  • Tertiary degree in Geology or related discipline.
