Role Overview

Food Service Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to provide efficient and high-quality catering support services within our facility.

The ideal candidate will work closely with clinical and care teams to create a positive dining experience for residents, promoting their health and wellbeing.

The successful candidate will have previous experience in providing catering assistance or hospitality in a similar role, demonstrated knowledge of Australian Food Standards and Food Safety, and good communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Preparation of each meal period in line with facility standards.
  • Setting up trolleys for tea breaks and supper.
  • Cleaning and sanitising according to the Food Safety Program.
  • Maintenance of cleanliness and organisation of areas where food is prepared and served.
  • Assistance with meal preparation when required.
  • Monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Plan.
