Mechanical Design Engineer

DRA Global Limited, a leading international engineering, project delivery, and operations management group, is seeking highly motivated and innovative Mechanical Design Engineers to join our Perth-based team in the CBD. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the mechanical and piping design of hydrometallurgical process plants, working alongside a multi-disciplined engineering and design team.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver multi-disciplinary engineering designs in collaboration with others
- Develop mechanical design deliverables, including design calculations and equipment selection, for various applications
- Prepare documentation to support equipment procurement and contract execution
- Review vendor documentation and facilitate incorporation into project designs
- Deliver high-quality technical solutions in accordance with Australian and International Standards
- Execute project delivery within schedule, budget, and quality criteria with a strong focus on safety
- Proactively identify risks and take appropriate action to ensure successful project outcomes
- Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Experience in mineral processing in a design and construct environment
- Slurry, water, and solutions pumping and pipeline design experience
- Piping stress analysis experience advantageous
- Understanding of relevant Australian and industry codes and standards
- Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan work
- Experience with base metals and rare earth minerals highly advantageous
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Right to work in Australia
