Relatbl is seeking an experienced Legislative Policy Officer at the APS6 level to join their Strategy, Policy and Legislation team in Canberra CBD. As a key member of the team, you will provide comprehensive advice and support on policy matters and in relation to regulatory legislative frameworks.
This full-time role offers a competitive estimated annual salary of approximately $98,000, with flexible working arrangements considered. An initial labour hire contract until 30th June 2025 is on offer, with possible 12-month extension.
The successful candidate will work closely with the agency's legal team to assess, advise on, and mitigate risks associated with delegation. You will also develop drafting instructions and advise on edits for commercial determinations, re-draft the regulator's intergovernmental agreement, and prepare briefs to decide on requests from suppliers to be exempt from requirements in the regulator's determinations.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong communications skills, experience as a practicing lawyer, and/or in legislation development, previous experience in government settings, problem-solving skills, and regulatory experience. If you are passionate about delivering exceptional results and contributing to the success of our clients, we encourage you to apply.
