We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Westpac Institutional Banking. Key Responsibilities- Contribute to ensuring the divisional and business operations and risk management practices align to the frameworks, policies, risk strategy, regulatory obligations, and appetite of the Group.
- Provide risk expertise to the business and the value chain squad in the identification, assessment, and actioning of risk and controls issues to drive a strong risk and controls culture that helps achieve business objectives.
- Support the proactive and effective monitoring, management, and reporting of current and emerging risks and facilitate a strong risk culture, risk awareness, and ownership of risk throughout the business and within the value chain squad.
- Partner with stakeholders across the GTS product domain value chain to identify and enable more efficient and effective risk practices in the business.
- Provide risk advice in the assessment, root cause analysis, and remediation of incidents for the GTS product domain.
- Provide input to regulatory requests and remediation, and support the delivery of remediation programs for the GTS product domain.
- Act as a standard bearer for certain Group risk policies, standards, and procedures (e.g. Issues & Incident Management) ensuring these are applied consistently within and across each Product Domain Squad, thereby ensuring high-quality risk management outcomes are achieved and sustained across the GTS business and value chain.

Requirements- 5-10 years of experience in risk management, banking, or financial services.
- Strong risk management skills, including risk assessment, risk mitigation, and risk monitoring.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, such as risk management, finance, or business.
