Job Title: Senior Java Developer

A renowned financial institution requires a seasoned Java Professional to spearhead the development and maintenance of a robust Microservices platform.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in designing, developing, and supporting secure solutions that deliver exceptional customer value.

  • Lead a team in creating resilient software solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and share expertise on Java technologies and best practices.
  • Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and contribute to coding standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning through hackathons, guilds, brownbag sessions, etc.
  • Collaborate with solution architects, project managers, vendors, and contractors to design, build, and deploy new solutions or enhancements.
  • Assist with planning and execution of unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • At least 4 years of experience in microservices design and development.
  • A degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Proficiency in Java development, including Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
  • Experience with REST APIs, Spring Cloud, JPA-Hibernate, and Maven/Gradle.
  • Knowledge of containerization, CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Version control system expertise, particularly with Git.
  • Skills in ensuring code quality, performance, and scalability through code reviews and unit testing.
  • Experience with Agile-Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and estimations.
  • Ability to optimize existing systems and refactor legacy components into microservices.
  • Experience deploying and monitoring microservices on cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, GCP, or Kubernetes.
  • Strong troubleshooting, bug fixing, and performance tuning skills in a production environment.
