Job Opportunity

A seasoned logistics professional is required to lead the operations of horse transportation. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of the thoroughbred racing industry, exceptional time management and communication skills, and experience in managing staff.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to ensure seamless transportation of horses.
  • Manage a team of staff, providing guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with drivers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure trucks are properly maintained, adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in logistics or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the thoroughbred racing industry.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Basic knowledge of truck operation and maintenance is an advantage.

Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be based at a central depot and will require flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and interstate. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary package.
