Public Area Attendant Job Description

As a Public Area Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of public areas within our establishment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain all public areas, including floors, hallways, restrooms, and lobby areas;">
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, wax, vacuum, and polish floors to ensure they are spotless and well-maintained;">
  • Collect soiled linen and restock linen supplies on the floors as needed;">
  • Assist in maintaining housekeeping carts, guest amenities, and stock supplies to par levels;">
  • Help room attendants with heavy lifting and special cleaning tasks;">
  • Report any maintenance requirements or issues;">
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained, used, and stored correctly;">
  • Use safe work practices when handling chemicals for cleaning purposes;">
  • Follow WH&S policies and procedures at all times;">

  • Prior experience in a similar position would be advantageous;">
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills;">
  • Ability to act consistently with clear ethics and values, upholding confidentiality;">

  • Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays;">
