About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our team in Cairns, Australia. As a Sustainable Impact Specialist, you will play a key role in helping industries and governments fulfill their responsibilities to the people they support, as well as the planet that supports us all.

Working with a diverse range of disciplines and experts, you will be responsible for managing timely and high-quality environmental impact assessments, constraints analyses, strategic assessments, and environmental management plans. You will lead projects across various industries such as Energy, Transport, and Water, while assisting in the organisation of resources, budgets, and timelines for project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage environmental impact assessments and develop strategies for sustainable development
  • Lead projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary package of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including:

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate discipline (e.g. environmental science, ecology, sustainability)
  • At least 5 years of experience in environmental consulting or a related field
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
