About the Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional Director, City Community to join our team in shaping the vision and strategic direction of our organisation.

The Director will lead a team delivering exceptional experiences for our community and customers, providing opportunities for creativity, recreation and wellbeing in a city that is safe, accessible and supportive of all our communities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrable experience in successfully leading a professional group through organisational change with demonstrated ability to act and lead as an effective change agent, positively influencing outcomes and delivering benefits across the organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to professionally lead and manage the commercial and business management processes for a large organisation in accordance with corporate objectives and strategic directions.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen with the ability to respond to and influence political queries, scrutiny, opportunities and sensitivities.
  • Substantial knowledge of programs that provide opportunities for the strategic transformation of the city incorporating city culture, development assessment, regulatory functions, customer and marketing.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships and consult, negotiate and communicate with all levels of management and staff, government agencies, stakeholders and the community, both verbally and in writing.
