About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Treasury Professional to join our team at Pilbara Minerals. As a key member of our finance team, you will play a critical role in supporting the evolution of our Treasury function from an operational department to a strategic business partner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Treasury Operations: Oversee the Treasury function's operational activity, including bank account management, Treasury settlements, cash investment strategy, and reporting.
  • Risk Management: Lead the Treasury's risk management activity, including hedging and counterparty risk management, in line with the Group's Treasury Policy and Strategy.
  • Debt Facilities Management: Support the management and administration of the Company's debt facilities, including revolving credit facilities, government agency funding, and asset finance facilities.
  • Treasury System Implementation: Support the Treasury Manager on the implementation of a new Treasury Management System for the Group.
  • Treasury Automation and Improvement: Work with the Treasury Manager to adopt Treasury automation and improvements to cash management, including pooling and cash concentration, and implement greater automation/optimization in Treasury processes.
  • Relationship Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key banks, including Relationship Managers, Markets, Trade, and Transactional Banking teams, as well as key Government Financiers.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting and Reporting: Analyze Group and subsidiary cash flow forecasting, improve reporting tools, and assess short to medium-term funding needs.
  • Audit and Compliance: Support in the preparation of Audit Risk Committee (ARC) and Board Papers on Treasury-related areas/issues and ensure compliance with Treasury policies and standards.
  • Capital Management and Treasury Markets Strategy: Support the development and execution of capital management and Treasury markets strategy, including ad-hoc project work as required by the Treasury Manager and CFO.
About You
  • Qualifications: Formal tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
  • Experience: Significant experience (8+ years) in Corporate Treasury, ideally within the Mining & Resources industry. Candidates with suitable corporate banking experience may also be considered.
  • Skills: Advanced Excel modeling and reporting writing ability, experience in Treasury operations, including bank account management and cash management, and familiarity with corporate Treasury dealing processes, ISDA's, capital markets, and derivative instruments.
  • Knowledge: Understanding of Hedge Accounting and relevant Treasury Accounting standards (debt, leasing & derivative instruments) is desirable.
