Right at Home Central Queensland is seeking a skilled and compassionate Residential Care Assistant to join our team in the Rockhampton/Capricorn Coast Region.

As a key member of our care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients receive the highest level of care and support in their own homes. We provide comprehensive home care services to seniors and individuals with disabilities, enabling them to maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.

We are offering casual positions with the view to permanent part-time (PPT) for suitable candidates.

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $55,000-$65,000 AUD, depending on experience and qualifications.

About the Role:

  • Assist clients with domestic cleaning, maintaining a clean and organised environment that respects their rights and needs.
  • Observe, care, and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client, responding promptly to emergency situations.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning duties, including dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting various surfaces within clients' homes.
  • Clean and sanitise bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, and other areas as required.
  • Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
  • Organise and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment, reporting any maintenance or supply needs to the supervisor.
  • Follow established protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in residential or commercial cleaning is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated reliability, integrity, and strong work ethic.
  • Compassionate and respectful attitude towards clients, including individuals with disabilities and seniors.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions in English.

  • Current National Police Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR certificates
  • Blue Card / Yellow Card
  • Current unrestricted driver's licence
  • Own Vehicle and Comprehensive car insurance
