Job Title: Clinical Pharmacist SpecialistAbout the Position

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a skilled clinical pharmacist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care in a supportive teaching hospital sub-acute environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal drug utilisation through effective implementation of hospital policies and formulary guidelines/restrictions, as well as collaborating with medical and nursing staff to achieve this goal.

Key responsibilities include participating in ward rounds and planning meetings, contributing to intern and student programs, initiating and participating in clinical pharmacy research projects, and presenting at professional conferences where appropriate.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must have:

  • a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent qualification
  • current registration as a pharmacist with the relevant state/territory health authority
  • demonstrated experience in clinical pharmacy practice, including involvement in ward rounds and planning meetings
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • ability to initiate and participate in clinical pharmacy research projects
  • ability to present at professional conferences
