About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mental Health Clinician to join our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team at the Women's and Children's Health Network (WCHN). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop treatment plans for children and adolescents with complex mental health issues.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as consultation and liaison with other professional disciplines and non-governmental organizations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal consumer care and achieve the best possible health and recovery outcomes for consumers.
  • Participate in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development within the practice setting.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A relevant degree/registration/qualification in a mental health discipline.
  • Extensive clinical experience in the treatment and management of complex child and adolescent mental health issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct mental health assessments and therapeutic interventions of a complex nature with children, adolescents with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to work with individuals and families for positive mental health outcomes and to foster productive working relationships across disciplines.
