Apprentice Bricklayer

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Bricklayer. As a key member of our construction team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the trade, working on a variety of residential new builds and renovations.

• Assist experienced tradespeople in various construction projects, learning the art of bricklaying and developing your skills in a hands-on environment.
• Participate in the preparation and cleaning of construction sites, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
• Carry and handle bricks, mortar, and other construction materials, demonstrating attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Assist with measuring and setting up the layout of buildings or structures, applying mathematical skills and problem-solving abilities.
• Mix and apply mortar to ensure proper bonding of bricks, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
• Lay bricks and blocks according to specifications, patterns, and building codes, demonstrating a strong understanding of construction principles.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, maintaining a high level of safety and efficiency.

• Be physically fit, self-disciplined, and have attention to detail, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.
• Be reliable, resilient, motivated, and able to work in a fast-paced environment, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Hold a current Drivers' Licence and have access to reliable transportation, with the ability to travel to various construction sites.
• Hold a White Card or be able to obtain one ASAP, demonstrating a commitment to safety and compliance.
