Key Graphics Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned graphics engineer to join our team in Hobart and contribute to the development of our next-generation rendering and painting engine.

About the Role

This role will sit within the Product Development team and report directly to the Chief Technology Officer.

  • You will collaborate closely with all members of the Product Development team, including the Chief Product Officer, CEO, and members of the Product Support department.
Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and implement advanced rendering techniques for our virtual texturing based engine.
  2. Solve complex technical problems in a real-time environment with limited resources.
  3. Develop software that pushes hardware limits while ensuring high-performance output.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge graphics experiences.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Firm understanding of systems programming in C/C++ and ability to optimize code for performance.
  • Experience with CPU/GPU optimization and debugging techniques.
  • Proficiency in modern graphics APIs (Metal/Vulkan/DirectX 11) and knowledge of rendering pipelines.
  • Deep knowledge of linear algebra and trigonometry principles.
Bonus Skills
  • A deep understanding of linear algebra and its applications.
  • Experience in other systems programming languages such as Rust/Zig/Odin.
  • Knowledge of mobile Tile-Based Deferred Rendering GPUs.
