Teaching Focus
Our school focuses on developing fundamental skills and applied learning. We implement evidence-based teaching methods that promote a Professional Learning Community (PLC) approach, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement among our teachers.
Specialist Programs
We offer a range of specialist programs, including Art, Physical Education, Chinese, Music, and STEM. These programs provide students with opportunities to explore their interests and develop new skills.
Selection Criteria - Graduates
- SC1: Demonstrated knowledge of the curriculum, including literacy and numeracy skills.
- SC2: Capacity to implement high-impact teaching strategies, guided by how students learn, and evaluate the impact of learning and teaching programs on student growth.
Duties - Graduates
- Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing teaching programs or courses of study.
- Teaching an area of the curriculum or a general curriculum to a year level.
- Monitoring and evaluating student progress in key learning areas.
- Implementing strategies to achieve targets related to student learning outcomes.
- Maintaining records of class attendance and student progress.
- Implementing effective student management consistent with the school's charter.
- Additional responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Supervising student activities including support and welfare programs.
- Contributing to co-curricular programs.
Eligibility - Graduates
To be eligible to apply, you must have completed your course requirements and graduated within the last 4 years, and not be employed as a teacher by the department at the time the advertised position is to commence. You must also be currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
