Job Overview

Australian Capital Territory based Network Engineer position available. This exciting opportunity involves developing, building and maintaining Defence networks.

This contract role focuses on delivering innovative network solutions to empower businesses and governments to thrive in a digital world.

Key responsibilities include assisting in the development and maintenance of Defence stand-alone networks, leading design build test and configuration activities for new and existing network elements in an Agile environment and conducting work in accordance with the Project Agile Methodology.

  • Develop Build Instructions and detailed designs including network specifications and schematics for network architecture.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of a Defence stand-alone network including network support maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Lead design build test and configuration activities for new and existing network elements in an Agile environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you will require experience with Data Centre Architecture Network Compute Storage and Network Services Network Engineering Cisco Enterprise Networking including WAN LAN and Data Centre Software Defined Networking Network and Network Security Design.

Desirable Skills

Highly desirable skills for this role include Knowledge of Storage solutions and VMware Cloud Foundation or VSphere Knowledge of Cisco ACI and VMware NSX-T Knowledge of DMVPN Juniper networking JUNOS Disaster Recovery and active-active data centre Management network design and management tools Firewall rulesets Familiarity with ITIL v3/v4 frameworks Windows Server 2016/2019 working knowledge.

  • Knowledge of Storage solutions and VMware Cloud Foundation or VSphere.
  • Knowledge of Cisco ACI and VMware NSX-T.
  • Knowledge of DMVPN Juniper networking JUNOS.
  • Disaster Recovery and active-active data centre.
  • Management network design and management tools.
