Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join the well-established maintenance team based in the Bowen Basin. This position will be responsible for supervising all operations and a team of tradespeople within a fixed plant.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise maintenance operations and a team of tradespeople within a fixed plant
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in a fixed plant environment
- Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve issues promptly
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement
- Manage maintenance budgets and resources to ensure efficient use of assets
- Mechanical trade qualification
- Senior supervisor training certifications (S1, S2, S3, and G2)
- Prior experience working in a supervisory or leadership role within the mining and heavy transport industry
- Strong knowledge of systems, equipment, and controls commonly used in fixed plant operations
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others to achieve results
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities, with a focus on root cause analysis and continuous improvement
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for maintenance planning, scheduling, and documentation
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a fixed plant environment, with a commitment to creating a safe work environment
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
- Ability to pass Coal Board Medical
- Ability to obtain a Standard 11 Induction Certificate
