Job Summary

The Area Manager will lead a team of hourly employees and be responsible for engaging the team during shifts to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, attendance, and performance. This role will also play a key part in maintaining customer expectations to ensure customer orders are delivered at the right time, to the right location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support, mentor, and motivate the team to achieve business objectives.
  • Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises.
  • Collaborate with support teams, including Safety, Ops Integration, Loss Prevention, and Human Resources, to develop plans to meet business objectives.
  • Lift up to 49 pounds, stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, as well as continuously climb and descend stairs.
  • Work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather.
  • Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and/or overnight shifts.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement, or lean techniques experience.
Compensation

Amazon offers a competitive compensation package, including a base pay range of $61,400/year to $100,000/year, depending on the location. In addition to base pay, Amazon offers a range of benefits, including medical, financial, and other benefits.
