We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our team at DataDivers, a dedicated consultancy for all things data and analytics. Our expertise spans data strategy, data platforms, DataOps, advanced analytics, data science, and building a data culture in our clients' organisations.

About the Role

As a results-driven organisation, we are committed to remarkable outcomes for our clients. We operate in partnerships with industry leaders such as Microsoft, Snowflake, AWS, Databricks, and Informatica, among others.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience with ELT/ETL tools, cloud platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, data warehousing methodologies, and IoT architectures.

They will possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent time management and organisational abilities, as well as excellent stakeholder engagement skills.

The successful candidate must be based in Perth and hold full Australian working rights.

About You
  • You have extensive experience with one of Microsoft ADF, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Fivetran, DBT, Talend, Informatica, or other ELT/ETL tools.
  • You have 6+ years of experience with one of AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Azure SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar.
  • You possess 6+ years of proficiency in coding with Python, R, or similar.
  • You have 6+ years of coding experience in SQL.
  • You have experience using cloud platforms, ranging from Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and GCP, through to Kubernetes, Docker, and similar.
  • You have extensive experience with data warehousing methodologies e.g., Ralph Kimball or data vault.
  • You understand data modelling and database design principles.
  • You can interpret technical requirements and translate them into technical solutions and architectures.
  • You have extensive experience in IoT architectures and ETL/ELT frameworks.
  • You have experience deploying production-ready data pipelines.
  • You have a broad understanding of CI/CD practices in Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • You have experience in data quality and data governance processes to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • You have 6+ years of business or consulting experience.
  • You have the ability to think outside the box.
  • You have excellent time management and organisational skills to manage conflicting priorities.
  • You have excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • You can lead and manage engagements through to the delivery of business value.
  • You have strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • You have a minimum of a tertiary degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, science, engineering, or technology (advanced degree preferred).

We offer an estimated salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
