The Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to join our team as a Turf Farm Production Manager at our Swan Hill property. The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the Managing Director and Operations Manager to develop and implement the overall farm plan, playing a vital role in the future success of the agricultural enterprise. As a hands-on, autonomous leader, you will oversee all aspects of farm management, including overseeing turf production activities such as planting, maintenance, irrigation, and harvesting. You will also be responsible for managing the farm's irrigation systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency, implementing turf and soil management programs, coordinating seasonal harvesting, and supervising a small team of permanent staff. In addition, you will maintain farm machinery and equipment, handle record-keeping and reporting on production, quality, and financial metrics, and liaise with contractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements
To succeed in this challenging and rewarding role, you will possess:
- A strong background in farm or horticultural management, particularly with expertise in irrigation systems
- Excellent leadership skills and a passion for agriculture
- A commitment to maintaining high safety standards
- 3-5 years of farm management experience
- Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, soil health, and turf management
- Experience in managing farm staff and coordinating day-to-day operations
- A valid driver's license, forklift licence (truck license is advantageous), chemical user permit, and up-to-date First Aid and CPR training
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills
