About the Position

The Medical Imaging Department is inviting applications for a Staff Specialist Radiologist. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist radiology services during normal working hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provision of high quality specialist radiology services during normal working hours.
  • Report and validate imaging reports; make reports available in a timely manner communicate urgent reports appropriately.
  • Participate in teaching and research duties.
  • Promotion of good patient care and the department's reputation.
  • Participation in on-call rosters.
  • Collaboration with clinicians across the hospital and within the department.

Selection Criteria:
  • Possess specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia and obtain a provider number from Medicare to practice as a specialist in Australia.
  • Possess Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (RANZCR) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated management ability in clinical service planning and provision of a patient-focused clinical service.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to create a learning culture and improve quality of services and patient care outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate medical care and work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Ongoing contribution to the development, dissemination, and translation of new knowledge and practices.
  • Personal integrity and commitment to our organization's philosophy, mission, and values.
