Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Rotisserie Specialist to join our team at Costco Wholesale. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and packaging rotisserie chickens and other items.

About the Role

  • You will work in our Service Deli department, where you will follow established recipes and formulas to prepare rotisserie items.
  • You will also be responsible for stocking and rotating boxes of chickens and other items in the cooler, as well as maintaining the cleanliness of the deli area.
  • In addition, you will assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

  1. Preparation and Cooking
  • You will skewer chickens and prepare them for placement into the rotisserie oven.
  • You will load skews of chickens into the rotisserie rotator slots and ensure they are cooked to the correct temperature.
Packaging and Display
  • You will package prepared items in domed trays and move them to the heated display case.
  • You will also open packages of meat, poultry, or seafood and add sauce or other ingredients per formula.
Stocking and Cleaning
  • You will rotate and stock boxes of chickens and other rotisserie items in the cooler.
  • You will also maintain the cleanliness of the deli area, including cleaning equipment and utensils.
Safety and Quality
  • You will follow Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) guidelines to ensure proper cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
  • You will also complete and comply with quality assurance and food safety certification requirements.
Administrative Tasks
  • You will count merchandise on hand, figure production needs, and document production on daily forms.
  • You will also record merchandise to be salvaged, damaged, or destroyed for manager audit.

Requirements

  • You must have excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure efficient task completion.
  • You should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • You must also be able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask as needed.
