Job Title: Team Leader - Secondary Learning Support

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic leader to join our secondary school community as a Team Leader - Secondary Learning Support. This is a full-time position commencing in January 2025 for 12 months.

About the Role

The successful applicant will have a relevant teaching qualification, as well as postgraduate qualifications in Special Educational Needs. They will be responsible for overseeing a team of educators and taking responsibility for the inclusion of students with disability and additional learning needs from Year 7 to Year 12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and inspire an experienced team of educators
  • Oversee the inclusion of students with disability and additional learning needs
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student outcomes in accordance with individual educational plans
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding all aspects of college students, staff, procedures, and practices
Selection Criteria

We are seeking someone who:

  • Has a willingness to promote and support Catholic values as a member of the St Mary MacKillop College community
  • Embraces the culture and vision of the college
  • Shows initiative, works independently, and contributes to the management of a dynamic learning support team
  • Has a positive, compassionate nature with highly effective written and spoken communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possesses excellent leadership and organizational skills
Qualifications and Requirements

The successful applicant will have:

  • A relevant teaching qualification
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Special Educational Needs
  • Current Teachers Registration
  • Current Working with Children Check
